My photography season this year starts with the Autumnal Equinox and will finish with the Spring Equinox but will most probably run on to the flowering of the Bluebells. We are very lucky to have a handfull of Bronze ageish hill forts in the Black Mountains and I have always had a hunch that the entrance to Tywn Y Gaer hill fort is in-line with sunrise on the equinox. I have spent countless dawns and dusk’s sat in the remains of the fort and have imagined the entrance to the location of the chiefs roundhouse to be facing down the main entrance, welcome the rising equinox sun. So what better place to start my final season in the Brecon Beacons than at the fort for the Equinox.
As stated in my opening brief ( more info ) to this project all the images I produce from this season are FREE, just make a note of the ref number in the top right and drop me an email and I will send a high resolution jpeg file ready for printing or use on the internet. I would ask that you consider making a donation/contribution to Longtown Mountain Rescue as the images below are from their patch so to speak. This contribution is not mandatory and I do not require any proof that you have done so, the choice is yours on the amount or if you do.
