Episode 1 the #201617 manifesto

I have spent all my life living in and around the Brecon Beacons its a place that has given me so very very much for so very very little but its time for me to move on so this will be my last season photographing the Brecon Beacons.

Its time to repay my debut so all images I produce during the 201617 season/project are going to be free to whoever wants them to do with as they so wish. Part of the gift from me to you will be that you consider making a donation direct to the relevant Mountain Rescue team that covers the area of the image.

The full size image file (jpeg) will be via email it will have a small #201617 watermark in the bottom right corner which can be cropped out if you so wish. The file will be ready for print so you can upload it to any of the photo printing websites to get printed or use it on the internet, there is no need to credit the image or link back to my website. Unfortunately I cannot sign any of the images or give away any images or prints outside of this project as that would not be fair to my previous customers who already own limited edition works

  1. Very sad to see that this will be your last season. I have really enjoyed viewing your photos over the years – always stunning ones too! It is a very generous offer of yours to allow this last season of photos to be used FOC (with a donation to those amazing people who turn out in all weathers to retrieve those who get into difficulties in the mountains) fingers crossed your generosity is not abused. Good luck with whatever you decide to do at the end of this season!

    1. Cheers Matt, I owe a awful lot to the landscape of the Brecon beacons and if I can give a bit back before I move on that will make it all worth while. I hope that offering my work on a ” pay what you want ” basis and the money going direct to the Mountain Rescue teams that the project will be received in good faith but we shall see.

    1. Hi Martin, I am working on a project which I think would be perfect for the Welsh Mountain names Lesson we discussed. I will pop into the hut at some point this season and we can discuss it further. A very overlooked hill is Tor Y Foel considering the spectacular views which can be had at dawn from there
